INTERNATIONAL ANGLICANS ABLAZE CONFERENCE
5-8 OCTOBER 2016
BISHOPS DIOCESAN COLLEGE, RONDEBOSCH, CAPE TOWN
Every two years, Anglicans Ablaze holds an international conference. In 2012 and 2014, we met in Bryanston, Johannesburg. In 2016, we will be meeting in Rondebosch, Cape Town. Over the months to come, we will be posting important developments, such as the speakers' bios, the programme and accommodation options; so please check back regularly for updates. In the meantime, please save the date of 5-8 October 2016!
Some dioceses hold regional Anglicans Ablaze conferences, so please check out the 'Regional Events' page to see if a regional conference is going to be held near you.
Anglicans Ablaze 2014
Our last international Anglicans Ablaze Conference was held from 2-5 July 2014 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The theme was "Hope Is Rising." We were blessed to have Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, with us and a host of dynamic speakers, including Oscar Muriu, Steve Maina, Alison Morgan, Lucy Moore, Nancy Njagi, and our own Archbishop Thabo and Bishop Martin. Bishop Steve Moreo served as the official host of the conference, and we are grateful for his hospitality.
From all accounts, the conference was a huge success, with more than 1600 people in attendance, including more than 350 young people. We're excited about what God is going to do next with the sparks that were set ablazed.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."
